SHROPSHIRE GUNDOG SOCIETY OPEN SHOW

MINOR BREED SPANIEL TRIUMPHS IN SHROPSHIRE

Shropshire gundog Society held a very successful open show with over 170 dogs of various gundog breeds competing. The top honour went to one of the lesser known breeds a Sussex Spaniel "Sh Ch Bardings Brown Bear" or Teddy to his friends owned by Chris and Shanni Hastings from Crewe. Teddy is 5 years old and beat two other Show Champions in his breed class to go through to the Best In Show group judged by Gordon Williams "Bournehouse". Gordon has long been associated with Shropshire Gundogs being a life member and also having presented the lovely English Setter bronze model for the Best in Show winner.

The Reserve Best in Show was a black Labrador dog "Balacrist Harris Tweed" owned by Mrs C M Hopper from Overton on Dee.

Best Puppy in Show came from Debyshire and was an English Springer Spaniel " Calvdale on the Quiet to Glenbrows" owned by the Harrisons.

Reserve Best Puppy was a Golden Retriever Bitch "Sandusky Gabriela Sabatini" owned by Mr H Morris.
