5th May 2008 Whitchurch Shropshire gundogs held a successful Open Show at Whitchurch on 5h May 2008. Over 25 different breeds of gundog were present from the ever popular Labrador Retrievers through to the new off the Import Register Kooikerhonje breed. Best in Show went to a local breeder from Market Drayton, Miss Joanne Addoo with English Springer Spaniel dog "Reulemill Thomas McNulty" handled by George Clarke. Reserve Best in Show was the Irish Water Spaniel Dog from Liz Water of Sundorne castle, Shrewsbury, with her top show winner "SH. CH. ZANFI EGO" Best Puppy in show from Medames Morgan and Schofield was the eleven month old welsh Springer Spaniel Dog "CWSSCWM SOUL MATE". Best Reserve Puppy in Show was Irish Setter puppy dog owned and handled by Miss D Ritchie over from Co. Armagh, Ireland "GWENDARIFF ROCKAFELLA" Judge was colin Woodward who breeds English Springer Spaniels under the "Wadeson" prefix. Words by Grace Brown
